Wooden Standing Statue of Sho Kannon Bosatsu

This statue is enshrined on the right (as you face it) platform of Kannon-do Hall of Gotoku-ji Temple. The height is 82 cm and this is carved from a single piece of katsura wood from the bundled hair on the head to the body.
Since the face, the body and the pleats of the robe are shallowly engraved, the statue was probably built during the Muromachi period.
